How many meals do I get per week and how much will it cost me?
We offer a variety of meal plan options and pricing to fit your personal needs. Please refer to our Homepage and click on the “Menu” link on the tool bar for more information on what Chef curated Meals and options are available.
Whats the deadline to place orders?
Each Chef's page will have its own Countdown Timer to inform the Cut-Off time for Ordering for the next Delivery. If you miss the deadline, reach us by email at bigbiteorlando@gmail.com or chat to see if we can squeeze your order in.
Is there a Minimum Order?
The minimum Meal Plan must include 5 or more dishes.
If I start a subscription, can I change my meals each week?
Yes, your subscription can be easily managed through your Dashboard. Selections for the following week need to be in by the Cut-Off date and hour guidelines within each Chef's page in order to be fulfilled.
What happens if I dont select my menu items on my Subscription before the deadline?
We understand everyone is busy! We will send you reminders before the ordering deadline. In case you dont have the time to select your options, we will assign similar meals to replace the meals you had in the previous week.
What comes in each meal?
Each meal is designed by each respective Chef according to their own style and may include any portion of Protein, Carbs, Vegetables, Seafood and Pasta among other products.
What if I have a food allergy?
Each item description will include the layout and composition of the meal. At this time we cannot meet specific requests regarding food allergies. Please note that ALL meals are prepared in the same facility where other products are processed and cooked, including, but not limited to, nuts, soy, dairy, and shellfish. Big Bite Meals and/or our Chefs are not responsible for any illness that may occur due to a food allergy.
When is (insert meal here) going to be available again?
Each Chef will decide the rotation on their dishes. We do our best to keep our menu as fresh and varied as possible. While we love to hear that you love our selections and old favorites are missed, we cannot guarantee they will return to the rotation.
DELIVERY
What is your Delivery Area?
Each delivery area is specifically designed for each Chef's proximity. We currently serve the greater Orlando FL area. This may include Downtown Orlando, Alafaya, Altamonte Springs, Apopka, Casselberry, Chickasaw Trail, Dr. Phillips, Goldenrod, Kissimmee, Lake Nona, Lee Vista, Longwood, Maitland, Oviedo, St. Cloud, Windermere, Winter Garden, Winter Park, Winter Springs and surrounding areas, among others.
When will my food be delivered?
Orders are delivered according to the day and schedule provided by each Chef. Please revise the Chef Highlight section to learn the Food Style and Delivery Schedule for each Chef.
When will I receive my first delivery?
If you place your order before the established deadline for each Chef, your first order will be included and delivered right on the next delivery date.
At what time of day can I expect my meals to arrive?
Your meals may be delivered the day of the Chefs schedule at any time between 10am and 7pm.
What if Im not Home?
No Problem! We deliver our meals in Thermal Bags with Ice Packs and are good to sit out for awhile. However, once they are within your property they are your responsibility.
Is there a charge for Thermal Cooler Bag(s) and Ice Pack(s) Combo?
We utilize premium quality Thermal Coolers and Ice Packs to keep your foods at optimal temperatures. When you first subscribe to our service, we will charge you a refundable $15 deposit for 1 thermal bag + ice pack combo. You are responsible to keep them damage free and return them to us should you cancel or pause your membership for an extended period.
If a Thermal Cooler Bag(s) and/or Ice Pack(s) needs to be replaced due to client mishandling or is not returned at the conclusion of your membership, your account will be charged and/or the deposit on the items will become unrefundable.
What do I do with my cooler bag and Ice Pack for each delivery?
You are responsible for leaving your cooler bag and ice pack out at your drop-off location for our driver to exchange with the next order.
For Home Delivery, this would mean leaving the cooler in the same location it was dropped off at the previous delivery day. Our drivers will leave cooler bags on the front doorstep unless you notify us to leave in a different location such as a Back or Side Door.
Each cooler bag will be clearly marked with the clients name to ensure you can keep track of your own coolers.
A $15 refundable deposit will be added to your account for each additional thermal bag + ice pack combo that we leave for you to keep your foods refrigerated. Your meals may be delivered the day of the Chefs schedule at any time between 10am and 7pm.
PAYMENT AND BILLING
When and How will I be charged for my Meal Plans?
All Meal Plans must be Prepaid. Your chosen method of payment will be immediately processed to cover your first week of meals and will be automatically billed every Monday for the upcoming weeks' meals, for the duration of your membership.
How do I take a week off from my meal plan?
We know that life gets busy and there are times when work, family and travel may require you to put your account on hold. You can easily place your deliveries on hold temporarily directly through our website.
To Freeze Your Account: Go to the Big Bite Meals Homepage and Click on the “My Account” link. Then click on the “Pause Subscription” button. Your account will immediately be frozen.
Please note: You must put your account on hold by 10am of the Cut-Off date for the specific Chef you are ordering from for the upcoming weeks’ meals or your account will still be charged.
To Reactivate Your Frozen Account: Go to the Big Bite Meals Homepage and Click on the “My Account” link. Then click on the “Resume Subscription” button. Your account will immediately become active again and weekly meal delivery will resume.
What is your Refund Policy?
We want you to be 100% satisfied with the meals delivered to you. If you ever receive a product that does not meet your standards, please contact us immediately to discuss a refund. If you feel your account was charged in error or you have any other billing issues, please contact us directly to discuss.
How can I update, change or remove a credit card from my account?
Updating credit cards in your account is useful when you lose a card, a card expires, or you simply wish to have a different card on file.
IMPORTANT NOTE: If you add a new card to the payment methods it does NOT automatically set it as the card for the subscription. See the next FAQ on how to associate a new card with your Meal Plan.
SHELF LIFE / REHEATING
How long do the Meals last?
We recommend the meals be enjoyed within 3-5 days of your delivery to ensure the best taste and quality. While not ideal, the meals can be frozen for up to 2 weeks if you are not able to enjoy them within the first 3-5 days. Simply defrost in the refrigerator overnight and follow the labels’ heating instructions as normal. Please note that these are freshly prepared meals. No preservatives are added.
Can Meals be Freezed?
They could be. Though preferably fresh consumption is suggested.
How do I heat the meals in the Microwave?
First, remove any Souffle Cup with Sauces or Garnishes. Many people opt to use the lid to cover the meal to prevent messes. We recommend utilizing a damp paper towel instead. This helps keep the moisture in the meal during the re-heating process, while also minimizing trapped steam. Since every microwave is different, start with 1 minute.
Check the temperature, give a little stir to rices and the like and continue to heat in 30 second intervals until your desired temperature is reached.
Can Meals be heated in an Oven?
Our usual containers are not oven-safe. If using an oven, meals must be transferred to an approved oven-safe container.
